Faith Formation

A large aspect of the J23 Youth Program is the Wednesday night Faith Formation Groups. The curriculum is based off a progressive model of understandable, relatable, and fun activities that draw teens from 7th to 12th grade into a deeper examination of their own faith development. All grades meet in small class groups for ten Wednesday sessions that address various topics. The program is sensitive to the academic school year and includes several large group activities and guest speakers throughout the year.

Topics:

7th grade – Living as a Christian
8th Grade – Jesus: A Closer Examination
9th Grade – Stewards of life and Catholic Social Teaching
10th Grade – Spirituality and the Sacraments
11th Grade - Confirmation Program
12th Grade – Beyond Church Walls
