About Us

John XXIII has quite a community built upon social justice and also has a newly-formed Social Justice Committee that is entirely student-run. The Committee promotes social and economic justice through the church, educates the community of Catholic Social Teaching and the responsibilities we have to the Common Good, and promotes relationships that are founded in service.

More on Social Justice: Year in Review
This year John XXIII witnessed the birth of the Social Justice Committee, which sponsored four REEL Justice Film Events, Operation Helping Hands (11 students helped parishioners through service), CSUnity (over 20 students helped plant trees), Social Justice Forum (over 20 students attended this forum at TNT), Clothing Drive (an overwhelming amount of clothes - thank you!), Relay For Life (over $750 collected in donations toward Cancer Research), and more events. The group intends to plan for next year this summer.
