Committee
John XXIII is currently in
a capital campaign to remodel and expand the physical building!
The Building Committee meets twice a month and is spearheading
the new construction to begin late summer of 2006. For meeting

small faith sharing groups. Currently, a database and description
of each group is being formed and will be featured on here
soon! If you are interested in joining a small faith sharing

Finance

The
role of the Finance Council is to assist the pastor in carrying
out his finanical responsibilities. The council has 3 primary
duties:
- Evaluate,
formulate and plan the parish's needs for present and
long range financial support
- Prepare
and monitor the annual parish budget
- Determine
the best means of investing parish funds
The
Finance Council meets the third Wednesday of each month.

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic, Family,
Fraternal, Service organization whose primary functions
are Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism, within the
Catholic Church, community, and its membership. We are a

In the Spring of 2000, an additional
gathering time for graduate level and non-traditional students
began meeting. TGIF now meets on Friday evenings. Through
gathering together on Friday evenings, our hope is to provide
a forum in which you can challenge and nurture your Catholic
faith in a dynamic and prayer filled environment with like-minded

The role of the Blessed John XXIII parish
pastoral council is, through ongoing pastoral planning,
to maintain the integrity of the parish mission and the
goals and objectives related to it. Within this new model,
programs and events continue to take place in the parish
through the efforts of many dedicated parishioners, always
in the context of the parish mission and its pastoral plan.

Social
Justice Committee-Back

XXIII has quite a community built upon social justice and
also has a newly-formed Social Justice Committee that is
entirely student-run. The Committee promotes social and
economic justice through the church, educates the community
of Catholic Social Teaching and the responsibilities we
have to the Common Good, and promotes relationships that

Stewardship

The
Stewardship Committee generally meets on the 2nd Monday
of the month, at 7 PM at John XXIII. All are welcome and
encouraged to attend and/or join the Committee.
We
have chosen to be a Stewardship Parish and incorporate stewardship
in all of our ministries. As a Committee we facilitate this
by sharing the theology and spirituality of stewardship
and by developing a vocabulary and culture of stewardship
at Blessed John XXIII University Parish. For more information,

staff of Colorado State University.
