Our
last Senior Mass and Luncheon (until September) will be held on May
6th. Mass at 11:00 a.m.
and potluck lunch after Mass. Our speaker will be an officer on safety.

Communion Families Lesson and Meal

families preparing children for First Communion this Spring are invited
to participate in a lesson and meal with Fr. Don, Thursday, May 8th,
6:00-7:30 p.m. Fr. Don will do a lesson with the children and parents:
A potluck dinner will follows. Each family is asked to bring a main
dish and one other dish (salad, vegetable or dessert). Please sign up

name, phone number and number of family members attending.

The
West African Development Support Organization (WADSO) and Blessed
John XXIII Catholic University Center are sponsoring an art show
fundraising event on Friday, May 9th from 3:00-9:00 p.m. at John
XXIII , for the ongoing support of Madonna Hospital in Umuahia,
Nigeria. The art show featuring the work of some 19 artists, all
of which is for sale, includes oils, watercolors, bronze, wood and
stone sculptures, jewelry, stained glass and photography. There
also a children’s art competition and silent and live auctions.
There will be an artists reception at 7:00 p.m. For information,
