Youth Ministry
The Program
Welcome to Blessed John XXIII's Youth Group!
This is going to be a new and exciting year of change and renewal for out youth ministry program. As a parish, we are committed to proving community, catechesis, and an open door for your teen to foster a relationship with our Lord. Teens are encouraged to join their peers in acts of service, Bible Study, and fellowship on a weekly basis. All the ministry areas of our youth program are founded on the principles of Renewing the Vision, a comprehensive framework for Catholic Youth Ministry written by the National Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Our program also has the added blessing of CSU students who desire to share their faith as leaders, teachers, and mentors for our teens. These college students demonstrate the joys and struggles of being a follower of Christ in a relatable and honest manner. In John 10:10, Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” All are invited to answer that call and find out what having a “full life” really means!
Lisa Myers- Youth Minister

Greetings brothers and sisters!
My name is Lisa Myers and I am filled with joy to introduce myself as your junior high and high school youth minister! I am extremely excited about being a member of this parish family as well as beginning a new chapter of life here in Fort Collins. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, but West Texas quickly became my home when I moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University in the fall of 2005. In August 2009, I graduated from Tech with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Business.
I’ve been involved in Catholic ministry for the last nine years. During high school, I was very active in Life Teen and spent many hours after school in the youth room and attending weekly events. When I came to Tech, I quickly became involved in our Catholic Student Association, Raider Awakening, the Diocesan Youth Retreat Team, and just about every other organization our university parish offered. This past year I served as an intern for our Catholic Student Center. My primary focus was building and expanding the college women’s ministry, Women of Faith. I believe that youth and campus ministry are some of the greatest tools that Christ uses to prepare His children to follow after Him! I love the Lord with all my heart and I am convicted through and through that His way is the only way!
I feel blessed to be part of a parish family that believes in and supports its youth. I look forward to meeting you, please don’t hesitate to call or email with questions!
Peace,
Lisa
