PARENTS, COLLEGE STUDENTS, and PARISHONERS!

WE NEED YOU!

ALL volunteers are required to undergo a background check as well as complete the Archdiocese’s Safe Environment Training Course prior to any involvement with students.  There are NO exceptions to this rule!

Faith Formation Teachers 

To help prepare and present the teachings of the church to Middle School and Confirmation classes. Confirmation is a two year program with classes every other Wednesday. Middle School classes meet every Wednesday. High school Bible/book studies meet every Tuesday. All classes meet 7-8:30pm during the school year. Orientation provided.

Small Group Leaders

Help facilitate discussion as well as build community within their small groups. Leaders are expected to attend all meetings and retreats.  Confirmation is a two year program with classes every other Wednesday. Middle School classes meet every Wednesday. All classes meet 7-8:30pm during the school year. Orientation provided.

Team Francis and Clare

 St. Francis and St. Clare devoted their lives to serving the poor and offering their lives for Christ. Volunteers for this team will be in charge of planning, organizing, and recruiting for monthly service projects, mission trips, and community service within the parish.  This team will work closely with Lisa in all planning efforts as well as recruitment tactics. All projects and trips must be approved by Lisa before recruiting begins.

Monica’s Warriors

St. Monica is most famous for her steadfast prayer for her son, St. Augustine. She prayed intensely for her rebellious son and 17 years later, he was baptized.

United with her in prayer, Monica’s Warriors will be the prayer team for our youth. Volunteers on this team will make a daily commitment to pray for the middle school and high school students, as well as the overall mission of J23’s youth program.

Confirmation and Graduation Reception

 Decorate the church, prepare and serve food for our Confirmation (April) and graduation (May) receptions.

Food Prep Team

We all know that food attracts teens, so this team will be in charge of providing and preparing food for youth events, retreats and other events where food is necessary.
